Blood of Jesus
"Covered by the Blood" is a phrase most of us say before we could explain it. Here is what it means, in words you can hand to a child.
In Egypt the blood went on the doorposts and death passed over that house. Jesus is the lamb now. When we say our kids are covered, we mean the door is marked and they belong to him.

A small child does not need the whole doctrine on a Tuesday. Give them the picture: a mark on the door, and the family inside is safe.

Say it over your house
Four declarations. Read one out loud at the door, at bedtime, or when the house feels heavy.
We put the Blood of Jesus over the doors of this house and over every person in it.
Exodus 12:13We are bought with a price, so our children are not their own and they are not the enemy's.
1 Corinthians 6:19–20We overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.
Revelation 12:11Nothing is held against us this morning. The Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all of it.

Bread and juice. Ten minutes. It is not a service and you are not performing it, you are remembering out loud with your kids. Sunday night works well, or the first of the month.
Set the table
A piece of bread and a small cup of juice for each person. Phones down, TV off.
Read it out loud
1 Corinthians 11:23–26. Four verses. Let one of the kids read it if they can.
The bread
"This is his body, broken for us." Thank him, then everybody eats.
The cup
"This is the new covenant in his blood." Thank him, then everybody drinks.
Go around the table
Each person says one thing they are thankful for. Then amen, and clear the plates.
